PVDF film (FLONFILM™ 700) exhibits the best resistance to weathering of all the fluoropolymer films. Its UV stability coupled with good abrasion resistance and the ability to withstand wide fluctuations in temperature make PVDF film an attractive product for many outdoor protective coverings.
The broad chemical resistance of PVDF film (PolyVinyliDene Fluoride) makes it the ideal candidate for tank linings and due to the very low rate of liquid/gas diffusion through its wall, such film can be used to produce thermoformed pump diaphragms. A low smoke and UL V-O flammability rating allows PVDF film to be used in aircraft interior panelling, as cable wrap insulation and as optical fibre protection in high rise commercial buildings.
Key Features of PVDF Film:
- Best weathering properties of all the fluoropolymer films
- Temperature range of -62°C (-80°F) to 150°C (300°F)
- Very low permeation characteristic
- High dielectric strength
- Exceptional UV resistance
- UL V-0 flammability rating
- Broad chemical resistance
- Easily thermoformed
Availability of PVDF Film:
PVDF film is supplied in semi-finished form on standard rolls or Polyflon can convert into custom finished parts to your own specification.
