Cast PTFE Film

PTFE fluoropolymer film

Cast PTFE Film

FLONFILM 100 cast PTFE film is a single layer, multi-laminar film manufactured using the cast method. By virtue of this unique processing method FLONFILM 100 PTFE film has a number of high performance features not inherent in skived tapes or extruded films. It is uniform in material structure; chemical, physical & electrical properties and tightly controlled in its thickness (+/-10%). Based on its capability to act as a semi-permeable membrane, FLONFILM 100 PTFE film is used in oxygen sensors & similar devices in bio-medical and other instrumentation. Two further grades are available:

FLONFILM 100.1 PTFE film is essentially two layers of the 100 grade duplexed & wound onto a single core under clean room conditions using carefully controlled web tension devices.

FLONFILM 100.2 PTFE film is a grade 100 film with one surface metalised by vacuum deposition of pure aluminium. Metalised coatings are applied with clear, insulated, uncoated margins of 2.5mm wide running the length of the film. Type 100.2 PTFE film is supplied in roll pairs with opposing margins. The surface resistivity (ASTM D-257-78) of the metalised surface is 1-2ohms/sq. Typical applications include capacitor dielectrics requiring critically held spacing & deep well instrumentation.
