Series 5R Non return valve
Without spring: The non return valve (sometimes referred to as check valve) without spring is primarily used for the protection of equipment against media ‘blow-back’. As the purpose of this valve implies, a small amount of back pressure is required to close the valve; an opening pressure of 0.1-0.4bar is needed.
With spring: The non return valve with spring prevents media from flowing back through the valve when the pressure drops below the opening pressure of 0.6/1.2bar. With this check valve the spring ensures that the valve closes automatically, important with systems handling aggressive media.
