FLONSEAL expanded PTFE sealing tape
FLONSEAL expanded PTFE is completely chemically inert with a temperature range of -240C to +260C. Since there are no additives or fillers in the raw polymer FLONSEAL does not age ‘in the field’ and has unlimited shelf life.
Due to its expanded fibre structure FLONSEAL enjoys excellent compression, adhering perfectly to the contours of the chosen sealing surface. Expanded PTFE is employed mainly as a joint sealant for chemical process plant/off-shore oil & gas pipe flanges where flange faces can sometimes have quite uneven surfaces.
Expanded PTFE tape can also be used in doors, manway covers & reaction vessel lids. As standard, FLONSEAL expanded PTFE sealing tape comes with an adhesive strip for ease of fixing.
